I have lived in Japan for almost a half-century this time around. I am a professional translator and interpreter, but have a range of other interests, some related to Japan and some decidedly not. This sub-website (The Cave) will be the repository of such content, which includes content about some hobbies, such as the Imperial Japanese Navy.

I have described my how I wound up as a translator in rather rambling fashion elsewhere.
